Smoking Prohibited Signage
In Australia, business owners and occupiers are responsible for displaying adequate no smoking signage in accordance with state and territory laws.
No Smoking signs incorporate a red annulus with slash covering the symbol of a burning cigarette. The red prohibition symbol instructs that action is not permitted. The sign background is white with a black border and the wording “no smoking.”
This is an example of a no smoking sign. You can order the sign as is, or change the wording to suit your workplace safety needs. For example you can add extra wording such as “no smoking in this area” or “no smoking inside the…” Simply let us know in the notes.

No Smoking Signs are universally recognised by the graphic depiction of a cigarette beneath the red circle and slash prohibition symbol and are used wherever smoking is prohibited. In Australia smoke-free state and territory laws protect people from second hand smoke and it is illegal to smoke inside many places such as public transport, office buildings and shopping centres.
