Baseplates for Sign Posts, a smarter way to install on concrete

Installing sign posts on concrete surfaces doesn’t have to be complicated. Baseplates for sign posts offer a fast, efficient and reliable alternative to below ground installations. When core drilling or deep digging isn’t practical or even possible, baseplates are the ideal solution.

Each galvanised steel baseplate features a 150x150mm steel plate with four pre-drilled holes, ready for use with masonry fixings. The upright pipe flange stands 200mm high and is designed to fit a 50NB post which has a 60mm outside diameter, ensuring a secure and snug fit. A locking wedge is included for temporary installations, making setup quick and easy.

For permanent or long term installs, you can either weld the post to the baseplate or secure it using a high tensile nut and bolt for added strength and durability. This flexibility makes baseplates suitable for a range of applications. From temporary traffic control signage to permanent workplace or traffic signs.

Notes & Tips

Not suited for installing on asphalt surfaces, always prepare a solid concrete base when installing on asphalt surfaces.

Recommended for temporary applications only. For long term installations we recommend that you weld the baseplate to the post.

Always have a professional underground and utility service locator carry out checks prior to drilling into concrete.

Always have your signs installed safely and correctly, and use a qualified and professional signage installer.

As part of your workplace health and safety inspections, your sign installation fixings and products (including sign posts and associated brackets, fixings, nuts & bolts/screws etc) should be regularly checked and maintained on an ongoing basis so that they are kept in a safe working condition at all times.
