What is Sign Bracing?
In the signage industry, Sign Bracing is also known by other terms such as “sign channel”, “stiffening brace”, or “ribbing”. Whichever term you use, sign bracing is essential for providing structural support and stability to post-mounted signage installations.
Sign Bracing is an aluminium extrusion used for increasing strength and rigidity to post mounted signs. The extrusion has a special channel shaped designed for use with Sign Bracing Brackets that can be attached to a post. The extrusions are installed horizontally to the back of the sign with rivets.
Order 3.2metre lengths or we can cut them to size.
How many Braces does my sign need?
The number of braces required for signs will vary depending on the size of the sign. This depends largely on the size of the sign panel, particularly its height. To ensure your bracing installation is compliant, always consult your state road authority. They will provide specific guidelines on:
- Sign panel height
- Number of extrusions required
- Spacing
- Distance from top and bottom edge of sign
